Derren has been busy keeping up appearances with his fans - late last month he was kind enough to answer questions posed by members of a magic forum. Have a look (or go look in "Extra") - Who knows? He may have already answered a question YOU would have liked to ask him!

MIND CONTROL – CHANNEL 4 DOCUMENTARY

Channel 4 will be filming a documentary at the Brixton Academy on the master of mind control Derren Brown. Derren will be approaching people on the night to participate in his mind control tricks where he will be manipulating memory and creating illusions of the mind.

Now we know there will be a documentary on Derren at some point in the future - although not the near future, since this has not been advertised. I came across it whilst searching the web.

New "Eye Accessing Cues" added to Psychology Source section. Derrenbrown.co.uk still haven't updated their news section, ... its half-way through the year, and we are all waiting for the winter to come so we can all watch his new shows!

Saturday (4 May) E4 were showing MC2 at 9.00pm / 2.15am.
Monday (5 May) Ch 4 had a programme at 9.00pm called 50 Greatest Magic Tricks, which includes an interview with Derren.

Unfortunately, Derren didn't win the montreux festival tv awards, instead the prize went to "Pop Idol". Good/Bad? - you decide!

Derren Brown has six thirty-minute shows coming up for transmission later on this year. They will be a compilation of highlights from the first three series plus new footage.

Derren has recently taken part in a chat on Yahoo! Groups, where he answered burning questions from a few blokes (including me) and a load of hot and horny teenage girls! Click here for the some of the chat transcript, re-typed after the chat by group owner Lauren.

"Mind Control 4", Derren's yearly show on Channel 4, is currently nearing the end of filming and is due to be aired in the UK around November/December (Source: Derren Brown himself on Yahoo! Groups chat).

Derren is also in the process of writing a new book on his "mentalism" work, which is planned for general release around 2003.
"Pure effect" (Derren's first book) was currently out of print (see above) and will be reprinted this year. It is aimed at the "advanced magician" audience.
