A tiny article on Derren in London's Metro newspaper was featured as follows:

Mind control expert Derren Brown is to put himself in the firing line for the ultimate TV stunt - Russian Roulette. A volunteer will put a bullet in a real handgun and hand it to him. Brown will use mind control to determine which chamber the bullet is in, a Channel 4 spokeswoman said. 'He will hold the gun to his head and pull the trigger until he comes to the live chamber.' The stunt will be screened responsibly, with viewers discouraged from copying it, she added. It may be filmed 'as live' in Guernsey to get round gun laws in mainland Britain.
